Research Fellowships

The Montana Historical Society Research Center awards two competitive fellowships annually to researchers studying Montana history.

• James H. Bradley Fellowship   The James H. Bradley Fellowship supports academic research that makes a significant contribution to the study of Montana history. Fellows are required to spend three weeks at the Research Center conducting research.

• Dave Walter Research Fellowship   The Dave Walter Research Fellowship supports researchers involved in public history projects focusing on the study of local history. Fellows are required to spend one week at the Research Center conducting research.
